I’ve been playing with my new iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. Starting to get to grips with drawing digitally (luckily, being a photographer, already knowing Photoshop is a massive advantage). This was drawn from a photo I found on the internet, but it had just been reposted by someone without info about the subject or photographer, so I went searching and found this blog! From what I can tell (my Japanese is rudimentary), the photographer was this boy’s father, the blog belongs to the boy (now man) himself, and it appears they lived in Takayama 😃 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It says this photo was taken in 1956.
